Voters day celebrated by the staff and the students of P.G. Govt. College for Girls, sector-11, Chandigarh. Principal Professor Anita Kaushal was the Chief Guest on the occasion. She highlighted the theme of this day “Inclusive and  qualitative participation of the voters”.

She administered oath to the students that they would exercise their right to vote in a proper, fair and impartial manner. She also felicitated the new voters by giving them Voter ID cards prepared by the Election Department in collaboration with our college.

On this occasion, students filled up the forms to get themselves registered as voters so as to exercise their voting rights. Mrs. Madhu Gupta, Nodal officer of the college, highlighted the Election Commission’s commitment to free and fair elections and also talked about the electoral reforms initiated by the Election Commission in the recent years. A poster making contest was also organised on this occasion to spread awareness and inculcate the true spirit of democracy.
