workshop (Capacity building Programme for Faculty) on ‘Institutional Leadership’ Sponsored by RUSA, Chandigarh

on 19th March 2016 from 11.30 am to 5.30 pm. 19th March 2016. The workshop was
inaugurated by Dean of the College Prof. (Dr.) Binoo Dogra . Fifty five (55)
participants attended the workshop which was specially meant for Head of
Departments and conveners/in charges of various committees.

session Dr. Manjul Vaidya talked
about the Digital India Program, which was focused to transform India into a
digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.

key focus of the presentation was on prestigious project of Chandigarh
Administration ‘ eSampark Project’- Sampark was initiated to bring together the
services of all the departments under one single umbrella and give citizens of
Chandigarh a “Multi- service – Single-window” experience apart from completely
removing the undue harassment met by the citizens due to lack of transparency.
second session Mr. Ashwani Dogra enlightened the participants about various
financial aspects required while dealing with grants. He laid stress on the
proper documentation of records, various requirements required during call of
quotations while purchasing. The purchase procedures must be transparent. All
the participants were made aware about the dealing of all financial matters.
