Institutions Innovation Council organized a session on Creating YUKTI Innovation Repository and Participation in Innovation Challenge (MIC Driven Activity). The session was organized by the members of Institutions Innovation Council Ms. Harpreet Kaur and Dr. Ravneet Kaur on August 24, 2023. Dr. Naveen Pandhi, Convener welcomed the President of IIC, Prof (Dr) Anita Kaushal. The main objective of the session was to make students aware of YUKTI Innovation Repository and YUKTI Innovation Challenge. Prof (Dr) Anita Kaushal made students aware of YUKTI – National Innovation Repository (NIR) as an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE) Government of India and it is implemented by MoE’s Innovation Cell and AICTE to build a system of repository of ideas, innovations and startups in the college. Students came to know about facilitating technology transfer towards sustainable generation and production of innovations and startups. The college will keep scouting innovations and startups throughout the year for building the repository, verification of received submissions on regular basis and taking needful actions to provide handholding supports such as mentoring, nominate for national innovation challenge and referral & linkage with incubation units. For scouting ideas and innovations form the students, Poster Making and PowerPoint Presentation competitions were announced in the session. Students were asked to submit posters and presentations by August 28, 2023. Students were asked to start working on innovations/prototypes for the YUKTI Innovation Challenge. Students understood that YUKTI is the best platform for the students to showcase their talent in the field of innovation and start-ups. Nearly 140 students attended the informative session.
Prof (Dr) Anita Kaushal motivated the students to participate in large numbers for the YUKTI Innovation Challenge. The students were asked to generate ideas for creating new or improving products, processes, services or customer experience and remain engaged as the challenge progresses, through regular feedback and updates. The session ended with vote of thanks from Dr. Naveen Pandhi, Convener-IIC.
