PGGCG-11, ever since its establishment in 1956 has been a cynosure of all eyes with its multifaceted excellence and an incessant commitment towards holistic development. Our motto ‘Courage to Know’ instils an approach that inspires inquiry and facilitates research to discover truth. The infrastructure, green cover and other value-added amenities at the campus are a hallmark of brilliance that makes the learning experience congenial and purposeful. Smart Classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, spacious auditorium, seminar room, conference room, Cozy Cove-common room for students, day care centre for kids of staff, hygienic canteens and food courts, shopping arcade, Photostat shop, ATM, expansive playgrounds and state of the art gymnasium are some of the hallmarks of our infrastructure. Fully air-conditioned and automated Library is an academic repository catering to the knowledge requirements of the students and faculty. Our team of dedicated and proficient educators encourages analytical thinking and shapes an ethical approach that becomes a lifetime habit.
We offer a broad academic range of subjects at the under-graduate level to impart meaningful learning; stimulate inquest at post-graduate and doctorate level for a pragmatic approach; and provide skill-development and job-oriented courses to foster multiple abilities with a global outlook. Academics are suitably complemented with extra-curricular domains giving a wide scope to hone their talents in diverse fields of public speaking, art, music, dance, theatre and sports. Our students have showcased their creative, imaginative, communicational talent; and athletic potential at university, state, national and international level, and brought laurels to the college. Societies and clubs with a strong inclination towards our mission of Institutional Social Responsibility carry out community-centric initiatives which act as catalysts to metamorphose our students to open-minded and empowered young women endowed with leadership qualities and a quest for nation-building. The college has signed MoUs with prestigious institutions and agencies for hands on training to the students.
Our alumnae are placed at high echelons in public service, judiciary, academics, media, IT, MNCs and are entrepreneurs also. They have excelled professionally in the fields of fine arts and performing arts and sports as well, within and outside the country. The performance of the college has been recognized and awarded by regional, national and international agencies, both public and private, spanning varied domains such as environment and sustainable development, cleanliness and hygiene, community-centricity, extra-curricular and cultural presentations etc.
