‘Kala-Srijan’, the Creative Hand Society of the Fine Arts Department of P.G. Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh organized a Print Making Demonstration cum Workshop on 30-09-2023. Prof. Guneeta Chadha, Vice Principal & Head of the Department of Fine Arts introduced the artist Dr. Rahul Dhiman , a national award holder and an expert in the area of print making to the students.
In the workshop the subject expert explained about various medium for print making and its possibilities to students. About 50 students consists of BA I, II, III and MA I & II have taken part in the workshop. Overall about 80 prints were created by the students. Most of the works were related to Gandhi and his life as a tribute on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Themes related to Chandigarh were also created. Prof. Anita Kaushal, Principal of the college, appreciated the aesthetic expression of the students by exploring the medium of print making and motivated them to make use of their creativity. She also applauded the efforts put in by the society for conducting such a charming workshop. Dr. Simmi Arora expressed the vote of thanks.
