PGGCG-11 Organized a Blood Donation Camp

A Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized by the Blood Donation Society in collaboration with NSS Cell on 14.10.2025, in association with the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh sponsored by Shri Shiv Kaavar Maha Sang Charitable Trust today.

The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty, and staff, all contributing enthusiastically to the life-saving cause. The medical team from PGIMER ensured the safe collection and handling of blood donations, following all necessary health protocols. Prior to donating, all donors underwent a mandatory health screening, and refreshments along with appreciation certificates were provided post-donation. A total of 211 registrations were done for this noble cause, in which 66 units of blood were collected during the camp. Many students came forward as first-time donors, showing great enthusiasm and a strong sense of social responsibility. Dr. Meenu Verma, Convenor of Blood Donation Society along with the members Dr. Ragini and Ms. Kunjan expressed gratitude to the donors and volunteers stating, “Blood donation is a noble act that can save countless lives. We are proud of our students and staff who stepped forward selflessly to support this initiative.”

Prof. Rama Arora, Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and encouraged students to continue participating in such humanitarian efforts. The event concluded on a high note, reinforcing the values of compassion, community service, and civic responsibility.
