The Post Graduate Government College for Girls (PGGCG), Sector 11, Chandigarh, celebrated its 68th Annual Prize Distribution Function on April 1, 2026, with great enthusiasm and academic pride. The event recognized and honoured the outstanding achievements of students across diverse fields.
The function was graced by Hon’ble Ms. Justice Nidhi Gupta, Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and a distinguished alumna of the college, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal, Principal, presented the Annual Report of the college, highlighting remarkable accomplishments of students at university, national, and international levels. She also outlined key institutional milestones, including:
- Securing the Overall Trophy for the 11th consecutive year at the Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival
- Achieving a four-star rating for the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) from the Ministry of Education
- Receiving the Best Institute (Senior Wing) award for NCC activities
- Gaining recognition for initiatives in environmental conservation, sustainable development, and the “Eat Right Campus” programme
Around 500 trophies and prizes were awarded to meritorious students. The Chief Guest, fondly reminiscing about her time at the college, commended the faculty and students for the institution’s holistic and multidimensional growth.
Special memorial scholarships were also conferred, including the Mrs. Pushpa Ojha Award for the Best All-Round Students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
