Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour on the theme “Viksit Bharat.”
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal hoisted the National Tricolour in the presence of faculty and students. The celebrations featured patriotic musical performances by the Music (Instrumental & Vocal) Departments, student reflections on freedom and the sacrifices of unsung heroes, a Tricolour march, freedom struggle quiz and colourful “Viksit Bharat” posters by the Fine Arts Department.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal highlighted the spirit of Amrit Kaal, the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and the pivotal role of Nari Shakti in nation-building. She encouraged students to be torchbearers of a strong, united, creative, drug-free and prosperous India.
The celebrations concluded with a Tree Plantation Drive, reaffirming the college’s commitment to a greener and stronger India.
