A Seven Days Faculty Development Programme on the theme “Education and Pedagogy in the Times of Digital Humanities” was inaugurated in Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh on 09-01-2020. The Programme is being organised by IQAC, Department of Philosophy and Department of Psychology of the college in association with Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Panjab University, Chandigarh under the aegis of RUSA, UT Chandigarh. More than 40 delegates comprising faculty members of diverse disciplines from various educational institutions of the city are participating. The objective of the programme is to engage participants in creative dialogue in understanding and reflecting on the idea of digital humanities and its impact on education and pedagogy in contemporary times. It will serve as a platform to provide greater opportunity to the teachers to engage in a more creative pedagogy, enhance their teaching and learning skills; and subsequently help the students in improving their performance.
