PGGCG-11 celebrattes National Science Day on the theme of “Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan: Ancient Wisdom to Infinite Possibilities”

The Postgraduate Department of Physics, PG Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh, celebrated National Space Day on 23rd August 2025 on the theme “Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan: Ancient Wisdom to Infinite Possibilities.” To mark the occasion, an Inter-College Poster Making and PowerPoint Presentation Competition was organized. The event aimed to nurture public speaking skills, promote self-learning, and ignite interest in India’s journey in space exploration.

Students from various reputed colleges of Punjab and Chandigarh participated enthusiastically, delivering thought-provoking presentations and showcasing creative posters that highlighted India’s significant contributions to space research.

Principal Prof. Rama Arora congratulated the department and faculty for organizing an event on such a relevant theme. She emphasized that such platforms inspire and motivate students to think innovatively and aspire for greater achievements.

In the PowerPoint Presentation Competition:

Ms. Vanshita (PGGCG-11, Chandigarh) won the first prize,

Ms. Harjas Kaur (PGGCG-11, Chandigarh) secured the second prize, and

Ms. Roopamdeep Kaur Paul (MCMDAV College, Sec-36, Chandigarh) bagged the third prize.

 

In the Poster Making Competition:

Ms. Nandini Yadav (PGGCG-42, Chandigarh) won the first prize,

Ms. Jaismeen Kaur (PGGCG-11, Chandigarh) secured the second prize, and – Ms. Vidhi Yadav (DAV College, Chandigarh) received the third prize.

The celebration turned out to be a vibrant and enriching platform, showcasing the talent, creativity, and scientific spirit of young learners.
