The Post Graduate Department of Economics at Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh, organized a visit for 80 PG and UG students to the RBI Regional Office in Chandigarh on February 20, 2025. The visit aimed to enhance financial literacy and raise awareness about financial products, services, and RBI’s best practices.
During the program, students learned about the key functions of RBI, the role of financial inclusion in development, currency management, and digital banking.
Such initiatives help students develop responsible financial habits and make informed financial decisions. They also promote financial discipline from an early age by covering topics like saving, budgeting and the power of compounding, banking essentials, and cyber security. Additionally, students can share their knowledge with peers and family members, further spreading financial awareness.
