The Department of Computer Applications of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh organized TECH-ZEAL 2K26, an inter-college competition event, on 27 February 2026. The fest was inaugurated by the chief guest, Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal.
More than 150 students from 11 colleges in the region participated in the event. The college campus remained lively throughout the day. Several competitions were organized during the fest. “Pixel Stories” was a movie-making competition. “The Hidden Algorithm” was an outdoor activity that tested the participants’ presence of mind and physical agility. “Mind Explorer – IT Quiz” tested students’ programming knowledge through problem solving, critical thinking, and quick responses. “Web-CreateX” focused on web-designing skills, while “Error Free Zone” challenged participants with debugging tasks.
Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal, Principal of the college, appreciated the efforts of the Department of Computer Applications for successfully organizing the event and presented awards to the winners. She highlighted the growing importance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in different fields today. She encouraged students to work hard and develop strong technical skills to succeed in the competitive world. She also said that events like Tech-Zeal give students a chance to relax and showcase their talents along with their studies. She expressed confidence that the students’ technical abilities would help them build successful careers.
Dr. Meenu Verma, Head of the Department of Computer Applications at PGGCG-11, delivered the vote of thanks to the guests and participants.
