PGGCG-11 organized a Seminar on Institutions Innovation Council 7.0 and Role of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Higher Educational Institutions

Institutions Innovation Council in collaboration with Post Graduate Department of Computer Applications organized a Seminar on Institutions Innovation Council 7.0 and Role of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs). The session was organized by the members of Institutions Innovation Council Mr. Mohit Sanan and Ms. Navdeep Kaur on August 28, 2024. Dr. Naveen Pandhi, Convener welcomed the President of IIC, Prof (Dr) Anita Kaushal. The main objective of the seminar was to make students aware of Institutions Innovation Council 7.0 and Role of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Higher Educational Institutions. Prof (Dr) Anita Kaushal apprised students about Ministry of Education, Government of India has established Innovation Cell at all India Council for Technical Education with a purpose of systematically fostering the culture of Innovation in all Higher Educational Institutions across the country. Dr. Naveen Pandhi apprised students for fostering the culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the institution.Mr. Mohit Sanan made students aware about IIC 7.0 and Composition of IIC in the institution. Students came to know about vision and mission of IIC and facilitating technology transfer towards sustainable generation and production of innovations and startups. The college will keep scouting innovations and startups throughout the year for building the repository, verification of received submissions on regular basis and taking needful actions to provide handholdingsupportssuchas mentoring andreferral & linkage with incubation units. Ms. Navdeep Kaur made students aware about Role and Importance of Innovation, Start-Ups and Entrepreneurship in Higher Educational Institutions. Students came to know about Innovation as it involves a different way of looking at problems and solving them. It also improves education because it compels students to use a higher level of thinking to solve complex problems.Students were apprised of Entrepreneurship as it is important for students since it builds real world skills of leadership and collaboration, which are helpful and important in a variety of fields. Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders.The seminar highlighted the importance of innovation in entrepreneurship and its value for thelongevity of a business. The seminar also emphasized on the opportunity to innovate to makethe lives more comfortable and the solutions that can be evolved to make it better, easier andmore useful.The seminar ended with vote of thanks fromDr. Naveen Pandhi, Convener-IIC. Nearly 60 students attended the informative session.
