Post Graduate Department of Commerce & Training and Placement Cell in collaboration with Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development organized a Seminar on Awareness Generation Programme to promote PMEGP Scheme in UT of Chandigarh on February 05, 2025. The Seminar was organized by members of Training and Placement Cell Ms. Harpreet Kaur and Mr. Mohit Sanan. Dr. Nisha Aggarwal, HOD, PG Department of Commerce and Dr. Naveen Pandhi, Convener of the Training and Placement Cell welcomed Mr. Joginder Singh Bhutani, Financial Literary Counsellor, SBI Regional Office, Chandigarh. The Seminar aimed to educate aspiring entrepreneurs about the benefits and procedures of availing financial assistance under the PMEGP scheme.The event commenced with an inaugural address by Prof (Dr) Anita Kaushal, Principal who highlighted the importance of PMEGP in fostering entrepreneurial development and reducing unemployment.
Objectives of the Seminar

- To provide insights into the support extended by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) and other implementing agencies.

The students were briefed about the objectives, eligibility and financial support provided under the scheme.Detailed guidance was provided on preparing project proposals, applying for financial assistance and availing of government support.The interactive session allowed participants to clarify their doubts and seek personalized advice from experts.
