The Department of Computer Applications at Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh, successfully organized TECH-ZEAL 2K25, an inter-college fest held on April 2, 2025. The event featured a vibrant array of competitions celebrating technology, creativity, and innovation.
The fest was inaugurated by Prof. Anita Kaushal, Principal of the college, who lit the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the commencement of a day brimming with enthusiasm and talent.
The campus was abuzz with excitement as more than 200 students from 12 colleges across the region participated in a wide range of events. The “SHOW CASE” movie-making contest highlighted students’ cinematic flair, while “DANCE PLUS” captivated audiences with electrifying performances set to the latest music. “TREASURE HUNT” tested participants’ problem-solving abilities and physical agility in an engaging race for clues.
Other highlights included “MIND EXPLORER – IT QUIZ”, which challenged participants with complex programming questions requiring critical thinking and quick reflexes. “WEB-CREATEX” displayed creative web design skills, while “KOD-HAK” put students’ debugging prowess to the test. The “Tech Startup” competition, themed around Digital India, showcased entrepreneurial innovation and futuristic ideas.
Eco-conscious creativity was on display in “BEST OUT OF WASTE”, where students crafted art from e-waste. Meanwhile, “NUKKAD NATAK” delivered impactful social messages through powerful street performances.
The valedictory ceremony was honored by Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, Dean of the College Development Council, who served as the Chief Guest. In her address, Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal praised the Department of Computer Applications for their efforts in hosting such a successful and meaningful event. She highlighted the increasing relevance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across all domains and encouraged students to continue developing their technical expertise to stay ahead in today’s fast-paced world.
She also acknowledged the value of such fests in providing students with a refreshing break from academics while nurturing their creativity and technical skills.
Dr. Meenu Verma, Head of the Computer Applications Department, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks to the distinguished guests and enthusiastic participants, bringing a close to a day filled with inspiration, learning, and celebration.
