Talent Hunt: PGGCG-11 organises Talent Hunt for the fresher’s of UG and PG Classes

The Cultural Society of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh organised a Talent Hunt for the fresher’s of Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate classes on 17.08.2023. Prof. Anita Kaushal, Principal of the college was the Chief-guest on the occasion. Mr. Ajay Sharma, Dean and Dr. Guneeta Chadha, Vice-Principal of the college also graced the occasion. The contest witnessed a huge response. More than 200 students appeared for the auditions and sixty students were shortlisted.

The events were organised in Music Vocal, Music Instrumental and Dance categories. The sub-categories of Music Vocal were Geet/Gazal, Light Music and Folk Song;and Percussion and Non-percussion were performed in Music Instrumental. The students showcased their talent under Classical/Semi-classical, Free-style and Folk dance genres in Dance. Performances were mesmerizing and were appreciated by one and all. The dances on popular and foot-tapping numbers left the audience swerving on their feet.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Principal, Prof. Anita Kaushal congratulated the Departments of Music and Dance for providing an opportunity to the talented students and giving them prospects for competing at higher levels. She motivated the participants to excel in the field of their choice and bring laurels to the institution and nation. She stressed that education should aim at holistic development and such programmes provide a suitable platform to the students to showcase their skills.
