75th Republic Day was celebrated in Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh. Prof. Anita Kaushal, Principal of the college unfurled the National Tricolour. Mr.Ajay kumar Sharma, Dean, Prof. Guneeta Chaddha, Vice-Principal, faculty members and students attended the ceremony.
The students of Music Insturmental Department presented “Rashtriya Geeton Ka Vaadya Vrind”, a kaleidoscope of patriotic songs. The students of Music Vocal Department rendered songs that filled the atmosphere with nationalistic fervor. Speeches and poems by the students invoked the spirit of nationalism amongst all.
Addressing the students, Principal, Prof. Anita Kaushal congratulated the students and staff on this auspicious occasion. She highlighted that the Constitution of India is the longest written document of guiding principles that makes India a great Republic.
She advised the students to follow the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and other nationalists to strengthen the pillars of democracy and secularism in pursuits of progress. Enumerating the glorious achievements like Chandryan-III, hosting G-20 summit and steps towards Women empowerment, she encouraged the students to work hard with utmost dedication and integrity to create a promising future for themselves, for the society and for the nation.
