Admission Notice for PhD Programme –January 2026

 

The Research Centre in English invites online applications from eligible candidates for enrolment to its PhD programme. Candidates who have cleared JRF/UGC-NET/SLET /MPhil/ PhD Entrance Test conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh or any other national level research eligibility test may apply. Permanent teachers of affiliated colleges are exempted from the entrance test. The candidate must have an aggregate of 55% in MA English to apply. (50% for SC/ST/PC candidates).

The application, along with self-attested photocopies of the testimonials, other relevant documents, a well written research proposal and contact details (address, email-id and contact number), addressed to the Coordinator, Research Centre in English, PGGCG-11, Chandigarh should be emailed to coordinator.researchcentregcg11@gmail.com by 5pm, 31-12-2025. Only complete applications (in all respects) will be considered.

Offline interviews will be conducted on 20 th January 2026.

Seven-Day NSS Special Camp

The NSS Unit of Government Post Graduate College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh inaugurated a 7-Day Special NSS Camp from 24th September 2025 with the theme “Health, Hygiene and Fitness” under the able guidance of Prof (Dr) Rama Arora . A total of 150 NSS volunteers will actively participate in the camp under the guidance of Programme Coordinator, Dr. M. Dhrakshayani and three dedicated NSS Programme Officers – Mr. Deepak, Mr. Vijay, and Ms. Madhavi.
