Admission Notice for PhD Programme –January 2024

The Research Centre in English invites online applications from eligible candidates for enrolment to its PhD programme.  Candidates who have cleared JRF/UGC-NET/ SLET /MPhil/ PhD Entrance Test conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh or any other national level research eligibility test may apply. Permanent teachers of affiliated colleges are exempted from the entrance test. The candidate must have an aggregate of 55% in MA English to apply. (50% for SC/ST/PC candidates).

The application, along with self-attested photocopies of the testimonials, other relevant documents, a well written research proposal and contact details (address, email-id and contact number), addressed to the Coordinator, Research Centre in English, PGGCG-11, Chandigarh should be emailed to coordinator.researchcentregcg11@gmail.com by 5pm, 23-12-2023. Only applications complete in all respects will be considered.

Interviews will be conducted in January 2024 in the Research Centre, Post Graduate Govt. College for Girls, Sector-11 Chandigarh. Applicants who qualify will be informed about the date of interview through email.

Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI)

The Govt. of India under the Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) resolution authorized Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) as ‘Designated Agency’ to receive written complaints from general public on any allegation of corruption and misuse of office by any employee of the Central Government or any other Corporation, Company, Society etc. owned or controlled by Central Government. Under the PIDPI resolution, the identity of the complainant is kept secret and complainant is protected from victimization for making such complaints.

PGGCG-11 awarded “BEST NSS UNIT IN UT OF CHANDIGARH”

Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh, has achieved outstanding recognition for its dedication to community service.

During a State Level Function in Chandigarh, Shri Dharam Pal IAS, Adviser to Administrator, honoured the college’s Principal, Prof. (Dr) Anita Kaushal, with the BEST NSS UNIT IN UT OF CHANDIGARH award in acknowledgment of the institution’s remarkable contributions to social service activities.

Furthermore, Post Graduate Govt. College for Girls, Sector 11 Chandigarh, continues to shine by clinching additional awards for their exceptional commitment to social service. Dr. Anoop Singh was bestowed with the State NSS Award for his role as the Best NSS Programme Officer, while Ms. Shamama Amir received the State NSS Award for Best NSS Unit.

Parents Teacher Meet on 23rd September, 2023

A Parent-teacher meeting will be held on 23th September, 2023 (Saturday) from 1 pm to 2:30 pm. Parents/guardians can come and meet the teachers in their respective departments and interact about the attendance and performance of their wards.
