Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh, celebrated Akshay Urja Diwas under the aegis of PRAKRITI – The Environment Society and NSS, with the aim of promoting awareness about renewable energy and sustainable living.
More than 100 students participated enthusiastically in Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Just A Minute (JAM), and Article Writing competitions, showcasing their creativity and understanding of renewable energy and environmental conservation.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal appreciated the efforts of the organizers and participants and emphasized the importance of renewable energy and responsible environmental practices for a sustainable future.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Sadhana Verma, Convener, PRAKRITI, and Dr. Anurita Sharma, Co-Convener, with coordination by Dr. Parul Virk and Dr. Rinky. The celebration concluded with an energy conservation pledge and distribution of prizes to the winners.
