The Department of Punjabi, Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh, celebrated the vibrant festival of Teej with great enthusiasm on 19 August 2026.
The campus came alive with the colourful spirit of Punjabi culture as students, dressed in beautiful traditional attire adorned with phulkari and traditional jewellery, presented lively performances of Giddha, Bhangra, folk songs and boliyan. The mehndi, art and craft stalls added further charm to the celebrations.
Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal, Principal of the college, congratulated the students and the Department of Punjabi and appreciated their efforts in preserving and promoting Punjab’s rich cultural heritage. She encouraged students to remain connected with the nation’s values, traditions and heritage.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving everyone with a deep sense of pride and appreciation for the vibrant cultural traditions of Punjab.
