The Department of Physical Education & Sports, in collaboration with the NSS Unit under the aegis of IQAC, celebrated National Sports Day on 29 August 2026 by organizing an Inter-Class Chess Competition and Staff Badminton Matches to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand, the “Wizard of Hockey.”
Around 15 students each participated in the chess and badminton competitions, while teaching faculty enthusiastically participated in the badminton matches. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal appreciated the initiative, distributed prizes and encouraged students to actively participate in sports for holistic development, emphasizing the values of health, confidence, discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork.
