The Cultural Society of P.G. Government College for Girls Sector 11 Chandigarh in collaboration with Nostalgia, the Alumni association of the college celebrated the Basant Panchmi in the music department on 14.02.2024. The cultural society organized music performances by Mr. Kanwar Iqbal & Prof. Dr. Harvinder Singh. The function was started with the lighting of lamp and offering flowers to Maa Saraswati .Principal professor Dr.Anita Kaushal, Dean Mr Ajay Sharma. Vice Principal Dr. Gunita Chadha welcomed the guest artists with a bouquet. Mr. Kanwar Iqbal performed raga Basant Mukari and Thumri Chalo Hato Bhayia and Prof Harvinder Singh performed vilambit and drut khayal in raga Basant, Bahar and raga basant bahar. It was memerising musical experience.
The Performance was highly appreciated by all the listeners and the students in particular. Head of Music Instrumental department Dr. Amita Sharma thanked the guest musicians for motivating the students and sharing such precious knowledge.
