Community Hygiene and Public Health Society of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh Celebrated World First Aid Day on 13.09.2025. To mark the occasion a role-play activity was organized by graduate students to demonstrate first aid steps to be taken during various medical emergencies until professional help arrives. First aid training is a crucial life skill that empowers individuals, especially students, to provide immediate care in emergency situations.
To ensure that students are both enthusiastic and retain the information effectively, it’s essential to make first aid training engaging and interactive. Role-playing encourages students to step into different roles within an emergency scenario, which enhances their understanding of the dynamics of emergency situations and the importance of teamwork. Students participated enthusiastically in the role play activity and demonstrated basic first aid techniques like CPR, dressings, bandaging, splinting etc.
Principal Prof. (Dr) Rama Arora appreciated the initiative taken by the Community Health and Public Health Society and praised the students for their effective and meticulous display of first aid skills.
