Post Graduate Government College for Girls,Sector-11,Chandigarh received the highest grade(Overall A+) under National Rural Institutions Sustainability Grading (NRISG).The grade which is another feather in the cap of PGGCG-11 has been conferred by Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education(MGNCRE),Ministry of Education,Government of India.The college haa won many awards in Environment Sustainability and has also bagged the Green Champion Award (MGNCRE2021-22),Best Maintained Campus award (H3 category;MCC;2018-2023) ,Swachhta  Survey Award(MCC;95.5 Score),ISGF Gold Award (ISGF Forum;2023) in eco-restoration aspects.

Principal Prof. (Dr) Anita Kaushal lauded the efforts of the faculty members and students for this marvellous achievement.

Research Centre in English

The Research Centre in English invites online applications from eligible candidates for enrolment to its PhD programme.  Candidates who have cleared JRF/UGC-NET/ SLET /MPhil/ PhD Entrance Test conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh or any other national level research eligibility test may apply. Permanent teachers of affiliated colleges are exempted from the entrance test. The candidate must have an aggregate of 55% in MA English to apply. (50% for SC/ST/PC candidates).

The application, along with self-attested photocopies of the testimonials, other relevant documents, a well written research proposal and contact details (address, email-id and contact number), addressed to the Coordinator, Research Centre in English, PGGCG-11, Chandigarh should be emailed to coordinator.researchcentregcg11@gmail.com by 5pm, 24-01-2023. Only applications complete in all respects will be considered. Interviews will be conducted in the Research Centre, Post Graduate Govt. College for Girls, Sector-11 Chandigarh on the 27th of January 2023.

 

Scholarship Notice – Session 2022-2023

Applications are invited for “Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities” for the year 2022-23 under Central Sector Scheme. The students who are eligible can apply online (Registration to be done before applying) on the website of National Scholarship portal (NSP)of Govt. of India under URL www.scholarships.gov.in.

It is mandatory to upload all necessary documents during submission of online application form. After applying at the above stated National Scholarship portal, a copy of the application form along with all the supported scanned documents (below mentioned) is also required to be submitted in the college office.

Eligibility conditions:

  • Applicant must belong to Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain and Zoroastrians (Parsis).
  • Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
  • Family income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000/- per annum.
  • Applicant should not be in receipt of other scholarship including State run scholarship schemes/Fee waiver and reimbursement of any kind.
